Jennifer Carpenter

Profile: Well in all honesty – I have only been skiing 6 years! However I have had the best teaching (yes Mr C it’s you) and the best opportunities to gain experience (yes Mrs Segura that’s you!) and so by skiing with the best skiers I have really developed my own skills.

I did the ASL (alpine ski leaders course) with Mrs Charnock and then I went on to do my BASI Level 1 in 2007. I ski for the Snowtrax race club locally to myself and do some casual work for the ski centre as I am a senior carer and team leader for a care agency full time (any of you that know anything about care, know it is really full time)

I have recently learnt how to snowboard (yes well...we all know what they say about snowboarders!) and will hopefully one day use that as a second discipline towards BASI. I joined the Notley crew on the ski holidays 5 years ago and havn’t looked back since.

Best Moment:

  • Sorry to repeat Dave's comment but it is hard to beat! Getting married at the top of Wagrain with my friends and family around – skiing in my wedding dress was awesome!

Worst Moment:

  • mmmmmmmm breaking my hand snowboarding (I refer you to my earlier statement Your Honour!)
